Sports has been a big part of my life ever since I started playing soccer at 5 years old. Ever since then I have played many sports ranging from cross country to volleyball, both of which I am still currently part of. Sports has kept me aspired, motivated, and competitive. Coming into my 8th grade year I learned about volleyball through friends and because of my natural athleticism and skill I made the middle school varsity team in 8th grade and from my first season of volleyball I joined a club team (WPVC). From those early experiences I fell in love with the sport. This has kick started my volleyball career.
Since then my ball handling has improved majorly from passing, setting, hitting, and serving. I take pride in the fact that I am a very mentally tough and focused player when it comes to how I play. During practices and games I am very pressuring to myself as well as teammates to stay focused and to put 100% in what we do. For me this has translated to my passing and setting being seen as one of my biggest attributes. I have started club volleyball in 2021 with WPVC and have also played with Florida Mojo and Orlando Gold(Current). I've also been on my high school(Lyman) volleyball team since my sophomore year. What also separates me from other players is being able to hold my head high and chest out when facing bigger competition and taking losses. This comes from years of me learning how to control my emotions and keep composure in stressful situates.
My academic and athletic personalities and abilities go hand and hand. I have achieved a high GPA of 3.65 through hard work and dedication in the classroom. I am not scared of a challenge academically so I select both AP and honors courses for my core classes. I've also Earned a DCF certification in Early Childhood Education. With the little extra time that I have I try to include myself in extracurricular activities. I am actively involved in the school community by volunteering for local events through the Interact Club and have gained valuable experience by volunteering at my grandfather's auto shop.
Because of my past life experiences that have built up my athletic potential. I believe that I am superior than others and more capable to change and grow into which ever University or team I am placed in. I am open to all options and levels of play but I want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to find new friends and coaches that I can learn from and lead. I hope to gain success prove people wrong and make my parents proud.
