Athletics have been a part of who I am my whole life. Fortunately, I have had opportunities to explore different sports from soccer, track, baseball, hockey, and basketball, but have never loved any sport like I love volleyball. Being an athlete and on teams since I was young has ingrained in me the importance of being a team member, being coachable so I can always continue to improve, and willing to do anything for the success of the team. Winning includes a positive mindset, perseverance, dedication, going way above and beyond, and not only being physically ready but also mentally ready. In fact, I am the son of a psychologist, so I have the opportunity to continually learn psychological performance techniques that I can apply, which has proven to be an extraordinary benefit. This is something that I think sets me apart from others. Certainly, I know the importance of the physical, psychological, tactical and technical aspects of the game. Off the court, I work hard to excel in all areas of my life. For example, I am a dedicated student who takes a rigorous course load and performs at the top of my class earning a high GPA. Additionally, I am involved in a number of different clubs and even hold leadership positions in some. These experiences have molded me to have strong character, drive, motivation, initiative, and be very relationship-oriented. My academic interests surround biology and I have high aspirations of being a medical doctor someday so I can focus on helping and healing others so they can live their best, healthiest life. In short, I am dedicated to everything I do, driven to do my best, and want nothing more than to play volleyball at the collegiate level.
