Personal Statement
At age 6, I started practicing volleyball, a sport for which I feel a huge passion every time I practice. A sport that has developed my physical abilities, but much more important, has developed me as a person, since it has taught me to work in team, to be a positive leader, to overcome and adapt towards situations of difficulty, problem, or discomfort, as well as teaching me how to dream, and have aspirations in life. Since I was 10 years old, I began to dream of playing volleyball at collegiate level, which leads me to do my best at all times.
I believe that I am a very good candidate for your team because I handle difficult and discomfort times very well, by adapting to any situation and trying to overcome it with the best attitude. In addition, my positive leader qualities, allows me to create a very good union and relationship between the players, starting by the mutual support, and respect; on the other hand, the years that I have been practicing volleyball, has allowed me to develop as a very integral player, technically speaking, and with great physical abilities, such as: speed and agility.
What sets me apart from other recruits, is my way of complementing and supporting the team at all times, especially in difficult times, from my physical skills and gaming experience, to the broad leadership capacity; also, the passion I feel for each of the team shirts I wear, complemented by dedication, perseverance, and effort. On the other hand, academically speaking, I am a person who gets high marks, however, they are not the highest, but something that stands me out, is that I am someone who when he executes what he really likes, does it even with much more endeavor.
My college goals are to be able to receive a high quality education, where I can constantly push myself, as well as being able to live in a healthy and pleasant environment; as for sports, I would like to attend a college that constantly looks for ways to help the athlete to develop as a player, person, and as a student (academics).
