Personal Statement
I was born and raised in a small island called Cyprus. I am currently 17 years old and I attend at an English private school in my hometown Limassol.
Currently, i play as an outside hitter for Nea salamis, a D1 team in the cyprus league. I am also a part of the men's and youth's indoors national team. In addition i am in the men's beach volleyball team where i compete in various international competitions.
In 2017, my partner and I won the silver medal at the youth commonwealth games. In 2018 i finished as the 5th scorer of the qualification round at the u18 european championship and 1st among the outside hitters. I also managed to receive the mvp award against Russia and Poland. In addition the same year i was awarded as the best young athlete of the year in team sports (in Cyprus).
My dream is studying in the USA because is definitely the best way to combine my studies with the sport that i love, volleyball. I also strongly believe that studying in the US will help me bring my game to the next level so i can pursue my dream of becoming one day a pro volleyball player.
I am a very passionate athlete that enjoys each aspect of the game. I am ready to work with each and every individual member of the team so we pull out the best result
Being an outside hitter it pretty much means that you must have well developed all the aspects of the game. So playing for 2 years now in the first division of Cyprus helped me reach a good level for being able to play in the US
I am looking forward working with a group of great coaches and talented players and i am ready to help them fulfill the team's potential
