Jonathan Wood '23 Recruiting Profile

My primary collegiate goal is to find a college that will both challenge me and allow for success as a student and as an athlete. I desire a challenge and thrive in a competitive environment. I am a natural leader that enjoys positively challenging myself and others to be our best and place great focus on leading by example.

Right now I attended a highly academic international college prep school in Singapore with a 3.2 GPA. I strive to raise my GPA by taking AP classes my Junior and Senior year and working even harder in the classroom. I will be taking the SAT for the first time next school year and will be preparing to do my best on that as well.

Some of my first memories are of me playing with a volleyball, peppering, and being in the gym with my mom and dad as they coached. I have played club volleyball in the US and beach doubles since I was 9 years old. I am entering my junior year of high school and have been a varsity starter for my first two years.

I will be growing both physically and mentally over the next two years. I love volleyball, I love fitness, and I love learning. My days are filled with CrossFit training, sports training, and academic preparation. I understand that I am in Singapore and that presents obstacles and questions, but if I end up on your roster I will be the hardest worker on your team and I will not let you down.
