Personal Statement

I discovered my passion for volleyball when I started playing in my freshman year of high school. Since then, I’ve grown not only as an outside hitter but also as a teammate and leader. My commitment to the sport and my team led to me being chosen as team captain, a role that has helped me further develop my leadership skills and strengthen bonds with my coaches and teammates. Through hard work and dedication, I’ve improved my performance significantly, and I was honored to be named to the All-Tournament Team at our end-of-season competition, where we played against schools from across Asia.

Off the court, I bring the same work ethic to my academics. I prioritize my studies, maintaining a high GPA and striving to perform to the best of my abilities in every aspect of my high school career. I aim to be a positive role model for my teammates both on and off the court, making the most of the privileged opportunities I’ve been fortunate to have. I am eager to bring this same dedication and passion to a college volleyball program, contributing to the team and continuing my personal and academic growth.
