Personal Statement
My name is Shane York. I am 18 years old. I attend St Jago High school and I am from Jamaica. I am planning to get my college education in America, and I am exploring all the best possibilities of getting an athletic scholarship. I play volleyball for my country and school, and I believe that I could be a good addition to your team. I represented the country in 2019 as the captain of the U19 National team where I played all three attacking roles and led the team to third place. I also play for Venus Volleyball Club where I play middle blocker for them. For my school, I play both OH and RS both I'm rotated between OH, MB and RS. My height is 191cm (6ft 3in), my block height is 315cm (10ft 3in) and my spike height is 338cm (11ft). I would like to study exercise science or tourism. I have 8 CSEC subjects, 3 CAPE subjects and 2 city and guilds subjects.
