Personal Statement
As a proud student of Palmerston North Boys High school, the tradition values and standards are reflective within my self. Through my participation in character education camps and activities, I am extremely hardworking, persistent and set high standards of myself. In the early stages of next year I hope to be named as a school prefect as a reward and recognition of my hard work.
My Volleyball career started in the first year of high school where I played in the top junior side playing as middle blocker. I remained in this team for the my second year where I played in the New Zealand Junior Secondary Schools Championships placing 12th in the country. I was the captain of this side and developed a lot as a player during this period. In 2018 I was named in the Premier A side to compete in th national championship. I played middle blocker and had regular game time. At the latter stage of 2018 I have convertered to playing setter where I have found myself on the court. From playing setter I have very good knowledge of the game, I have a very good vision of attacking patterns. In conjunction with this, as captain I am able to take charge from the front, leading the team to our goals and aspirations. I am very hard working at trainings and games putting in a large amount of work off the court to improve my performance. I am always the first to arrive and the last to leave as I believe it’s up to me to do the small things; this is engrained in me from my education at PNBHS.
