Personal Statement
Hi My Name Joseph, I Have been born and raised in New Zealand with my Mum coming from Britain and my Father coming from Tonga. I am highly committed to my studies and very proud of where come from. I am very hard driven and am fully committed when it comes to the sport of volleyball. I have coached many junior volleyball teams during my time in high school as well captained the top volleyball team from my high school and am apart of the New Zealand Youth (U19) Mens volleyball team to compete at the US High Performance Champs In Fort Lauderdale this July.
Also at the High school I am currently at I am a prefect, which is a leadership based group voted by the students and teacher who they believe represent the schools statement "To develop young educated men of outstanding character" However volleyball is not my only focus, studies have always been a priority for me and I am a hard working off the court as well as on the court. As a student last year as I had a few academic achievements receiving 1st place in the regional science fair for chemistry, as well as 1st place at the regional Pasifika Fusion festival for the science section. Overall I'd like to believe I have very strong work ethics and live by my schools motto 'Nihil Boni Sine Labore - Nothing Achieved Without Hard Work". I am looking forward to the hard work that awaits me to fulfill my dream of playing high-level volleyball in the US.
