Personal Statement
Hello,
I am Devaun, a Senior National Libero in Jamaica . I've been representing my country since 2019(5 years) in Caribbean Tournaments and Local leagues and tournaments. I possess a great interest in the field of Business Management which I desire to pursue in the United States. Discipline, Honesty, Integrity are traits I portray and are willing to use to impact a College community. I am a very quick learner and an easy going person, easily adapting to environments.
I was taught by my elder brother, also a Senior National Libero, at the age of 8 years old, ever since I've been playing a lot in my front yard and developed a liking for the game. It was at the age of 13 my Volleyball journey got serious when I made my country's junior national team, after then senior clubs wanted me to play for them at that tender age. I was always great at scoring grades in academics while playing sports and because of that I was awarded Volleyball scholarships in my later years of high school. I am a great person to work with and I will be a great impact wherever I am.
