Personal Statement
I’m Kai Cousins, a 17 year old high school student at a three year High School, Kaichi, in Wakayama Japan, graduating Spring 2024. I am confident in my spike power and I have a strong serve.
I started playing volleyball in junior high school, when I was 13 years old. In Junior High School, I was selected twice into the National program for exceptional athletes.
Other than volleyball, before high school, I played other sports. I ran Track, played basketball, and swam. In addition, I also took Kendo (Japanese fencing) for 9 years, and I currently hold a 2 Dan rank.I’m looking forward to studying in college,and I’m thinking of studying biology, because I’m interested in understanding how ecosystems work. Also,I have had the experience to travel to several countries and I desire to improve my English and learn more about other cultures. That’s why I hope to study in the United States.
