I have been playing club volleyball since 7th grade. I was also extremely competitive in basketball through my freshman year of high school, until I made the decision to focus primarily on volleyball. At this time, boys volleyball is not yet a sanctioned sport in the state of Iowa under the Iowa High School Athletic Association. I currently play for Ohaha Volleyball Club located in Grimes, Iowa. As the starting right side on their 18U national roster, I ended the 2022-23 season with the most kills and highest hitting percentage on the team. I am a go to practice early stay late type of guy, getting in the gym whenever possible. I'm well liked by both my coaches and teammates and consider myself very coachable. I'm a leader on and off the court and like to keep the energy and momentum on my teams side. I stay focused and composed in pressure situations, but like to give teammates a laugh to keep stress low. I'll ask for the ball every time in the highest of pressure or not. My collegiate goal is to play at the DI-II men's volleyball level, and even have the opportunity to compete for a spot as a freshman. The ultimate goal is to play professionally. I have a job working at my local grocery store in Johnston. This job has made me kind of crack my shell and has made it much easier for me to talk to people. I also do very well in school having maintained a 3.8 GPA through my freshman and sophomore years of high school.
