My name is Dominick Penner, a junior at River East Collegiate High School in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a middle/high school student, I played other sports such as hockey and football, but I discovered my passion was volleyball. I have been playing volleyball since I was 11 years old. Since I first stepped on the court, I have aspired to play at the Collegiate/University level.
I have a strong jump serve, quick movement, and high volleyball IQ. I am a team leader and try to lead by example, while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players and will be one of the hardest working recruits you will find.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I have been part of the leadership team in middle school. I also volunteer with the Children’s Program at NKMB church.
I want to attend a University or College where I can push myself in the classroom and on the volleyball court. I am open to options and want to ultimately find the right College/University match at the highest level of competition possible. I am looking for a school with strong academic programs in Business and Entrepreneurship. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers.
