My goals in college are to study biology and environmental science and play volleyball. I started playing volleyball four years ago after having been on my middle school cross-country team for two years and playing club basketball.
I am going into 11th grade at Holmdel High School and have been the setter on my high school varsity team since I was a freshman. I challenge myself in school as well. My GPA is a 3.9/4.0. I made Honor Roll in 9th and 10th grade and am in French Honor Society. I take honors classes and will be taking two AP classes and two honors classes in 11th grade. I became an Eagle Scout at 15 years old and was the first scout in my year to earn that rank. My Eagle Scout project was refurbishing a handball court in a park in our town and I am always happy to see it being used -- some people use it for volleyball and tennis practice too.
On my high school team, I had over 500 assists and over 100 digs in the 2023 season. I was named Team MVP in both 9th grade and 10th grade, and was a team co-captain and the floor captain in 10th grade. I was First Team All-State Sophomore; second in NJ with most assists by a sophomore; All Shore Conference, North B Division in 9th grade and 10th grade; and the Asbury Park Press Player of the Week for week 9 this season. In 2022, I was ranked the top freshman in the state. I am starting my fourth year at Warren Sixpack Volleyball Club this fall and was floor captain in the 2022-2023 season.
In addition to playing, I work as a referee for a high school girls’ volleyball league during the summer and was an assistant coach for our town’s girl’s travel team. I’ve worked as a camp counselor during the summer for two years and was a CIT before that, and I’ve worked as a referee for our town’s rec soccer program in the fall for the past three years.
