Samih Abbassi '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Samih Abbassi, an outside hitter, middle hitter, and right side hitter for both my high-school Passaic County Technical Institute and Sideout Sports Volleyball Club teams. Throughout my life I have played many different sports, but concluding my freshman year of high-school I fell in love with the sport of volleyball and shifted my focus solely to volleyball. As a sophomore I contributed to my team’s success in reaching the county finals, which will motivate me to get one step further next season.

Throughout my athletic career, I've been described as a "leader" and "coachable" by my coaches and teammates. Additionally, playing football for 3 years and being the captain for 2 of them taught me how to be a great leader by assisting my teammates, raising their morale, and taking command of the court. As a result, I learned to be a positive force on the court which compels my peers to do the same, allowing me to communicate with them with ease.
