Hello Coaches,
During the covid lock down everyone had to stay home and be cooped up in their rooms all day. And it was difficult especially for students who had to take zoom classes everyday. During those times i found comfort watching volleyball videos even though i didn’t even know how to hit a ball. After covid settled down i really wanted to pursue volleyball, it had lit a fire that no other activities had set in me. I started to go to open gyms not knowing what a 2 ball or a 4 ball is, but i stuck to it. I watched countless hours of youtube trying to teach myself how to float serve and top spin, as well as how to receive. I tried out for my local club team and I ended up making the national team, all of those hours paid off, and coming into the gym twice a week, pepper for the first 15 minutes, warming up with my new family was an experience that i will cherish forever and it made my passion for the sport that much greater. Even though i do not have the experience others do i promise i have the motivation to get better and improve. I want to persue volleyball for as long as i can and getting on a collegiate team will be one of many steps.
