Growing up around volleyball and playing for these past few years has solidified my desire to take my game to the next level, and hopefully play in college. With my mother playing NCAA Division I volleyball and my father playing National level volleyball in high school and club in college, you could say I’ve had some pretty big shoes to fill. Also, volleyball has just always been a part of my life, and I couldn’t imagine anything different. Both my parents coached every team my brothers and I played for in grade school, and now are very involved in my high school and club career. Nothing brings me more joy then being out on the court leading my team to victory. When my JV teammates voted me as their captain, it showed they thought of me as a leader. Anyone who knows me will agree that I am an outstanding leader not just on the court but off the court too. Nothing compares to the feeling when putting a ball down for a kill or getting a solo block straight down to the floor. I want that feeling along with my continuing education in college, and am willing to do what it takes to get there. This includes the jump training I have been doing the past two seasons and the individual lessons I go to in the off-season. I have devoted countless hours of my life to better myself as a volleyball player, and I am bound and determined to reach the next level.
