I’ve always grown up around volleyball; 2 older sisters who played and a younger sister who began to play the same time I did. I would always go to their club tournaments or high school games and watch them play, and that is when I fell in love with volleyball. I started playing in 7th grade and haven’t stopped since, playing 3 years of club (in 4th season) and 4 years of school ball (just started 5th season). Throughout my playing experience I’ve grown to see the complexities in the game which has helped me become the player that I am today. I can read hitters and their body language as well as blockers which allows me to be the best blocker on my club team and one of the most effective offensive options for both my club and school teams. My 15s year of club I was put on the regional team after a 14s season on the national team. This forced me to work harder in the off season to make the gold team 16s year and by the time of Nationals, I was a 6 rotation starting outside. This year I am back to playing my favorite position at opposite. This versatility has allowed me to transition seamlessly into being an outside hitter for my school team. I want to attend a school that will challenge me both academically and athletically, one that will help me reach my eventual life goal of being a well respected coach in the club circuit.
