I am a student-athlete at Upper Arlington High School motivated to be accepted for a mens volleyball scholarship when I graduate. My first year of volleyball was 8th grade, During this time, I was playing several other sports (football, wrestling, and lacrosse). Twords the middle of Freshamn year, I realised I loved the sport and wanted to peruse it full time, so I dropped all of my other sports. I have done clinics with A2 volleyball club, practice with the HS every Monday and Wednesday (out of season), and exercise to prepare for spring! On the other side of my athletic commitments I take school very seriously, I want to get my degree in Law so I can speak for specifically kids in foster care and being adopted. I was adopted by my family in 2023 and it was not an easy process due to the lack of care in the government, and I want to make sure that doesn't happen to any kids case I take. I think school is VERY important to have a successful future, and I feel many of my teachers would vouch that this is my mentality. My dream is to play volleyball for team USA in the Olympics, and to do that, not only do I need to be good at the sport but I also have to have good grades, so I can get into a means volleyball collage and be seen by recruiters. I think I would be a great team member because I'm a great team player, always focused on the next ball and making sure everybody knows the game isn't over UNTIL ITS OVER. I'm think I'm different from most because I can keep my head heals high and keep my energy flowing even when in a hole. It's hard to keep a good mentality when you're loosing by a lot, but if you think you're going to lose, you will. Go into everything with a winning mentality and keep that mentally through the game, and you have a better chance of winning.
