Eric Reci '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Eric Reci and I am currently enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program at Michael Power St. Joseph High School in Toronto, Ontario (class of 2022).

I am an Honour Roll Student, maintaining a high GPA and receiving many awards in math, science and athletics for the past 5 years. I am a committed and very hard working student that has a passion not only for academics, but also for sports. I have played various sports like basketball, football, competitive swimming etc., but I always held a special spot for volleyball. I have been very fortunate to have had great influences and support from my family and amazing coaches that shared the same passion that I have for volleyball.  

Since grade 5, I have been the captain of my school volleyball team, leading them by example. I take pride at the hard work we put together as a team, winning banners to hang at our school gym and motivate the younger players.

In addition, I have played club indoor volleyball and beach volleyball for the past 4 years and have taken part in various Team Ontario programs. 

I love both the defense and offence part of the game and am a versatile player with a high volleyball IQ.

I strive to better myself and I believe I offer a strong work ethic both on and off the court. My coaches would describe me as a selfless, committed and coachable player, adaptive to different learning styles or game situations.

My goal is to attend university pursuing a degree in business, technology, or medical sciences, pushing myself both in the classroom and on the court; to grow as a player and individual, and to continue to develop skills that a team sport can teach. My ultimate goal is to be able to play volleyball at the highest level possible. I consider my team to be my family and I strive to represent them with a high level of commitment and excellency.
