Marcos Garcia '22 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate aspirations are to graduate in the mathematics or computer science field while playing volleyball at an elite level. In addition I believe that it is important to be involved in the community. Recently I have volunteered at summer camp for kids and youth. I hold my self to high standards and believe in  doing my best in any challenge I am given. 

My top strength in volleyball is my IQ. I have always excelled at being able to read plays and understand what is happening in the game. I am a quick thinker on the court and as a result am able to react accurately and with speed. The fact that I am able to read plays also gives me the ability to play defense very well.  

My second strength is my accuracy.  I am a setter. I believe that delivering the ball accurately is fundamental for success. I  give my hitters the best opportunity to hit the ball regardless of my position on the court.  In addition my accuracy translates to passing and hitting. When called upon to hit or pass, I do so with confidence.

I am a dedicated hardworking athlete ready to work hard to achieve success.
