Cameron Almeida '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cameron Almeida, for the first 15 years of my life, I did not think at all that I would be playing volleyball. I started very late, at the end of 2022, and I’ve dedicated every day to improving. I’ve been motivated to improve my technical skills and athletic abilities daily, which has allowed me to strive amongst others who have been playing this sport for much longer than myself. My ability has allowed me to have an open role on the team, successfully being able to play left side middle and opposite. For the last two years, I've trained independently on the side of actual volleyball itself, increasing my speed, acceleration, and explosiveness at an alarming rate. I've also gone from touching 10'5ft when I started playing this sport to 11'2ft in just over a year, meaning with my 7'8ft standing reach I have a 42-inch vertical. I have big goals and big dreams which I'm very determined to achieve, I'd like to take my volleyball skillset to the post-secondary level where I can continue getting better and better.
