My name is Nick Blose, and I am a 6’3 Outside Hitter from Emmaus, PA. I am currently a sophomore (2021) at Emmaus High School.
I began playing volleyball formally in 7th grade for my school team, but grew up watching and hitting the ball around with my mom who was a starting DII defensive specialist all 4 years of her college career. At Emmaus High School last spring, I was the only freshman on the varsity team where I gained valuable experience at a high level of play. In 2018, our high school team won the East Penn Conference and District XI Championships with an undefeated record. Our only loss of the season came in the PIAA State Semifinals, finishing our season ranked fourth in the state. I have been playing volleyball for Club Lehigh Power based in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, for the past three years on 14s, 16s, and now 17s. During the past two club seasons, I have played on the top team with teammates a year ahead of me in the class of 2020. I attended the BJNCs in 2017 on Club Lehigh 14s and have attended many local organization and college summer camps over the years, including Penn State University’s camp in the summer of 2018. I plan to attend PSU camp again this summer, along with BJNCs in Dallas, Texas.
I am an energetic and enthusiastic volleyball player who often takes a leadership role on my teams. Volleyball became a passion of mine because I love that you cannot just go outside and play the game by yourself, you depend on others to play. Every player on the court has a role that can be different at different times, but everyone must put forth their best effort and depend on each other in order to be a successful team, just like a family.
Some things I enjoy in my free time include singing, playing guitar, playing piano, and listening to music. I one day hope to attend college to play volleyball and major in political science or criminal justice. I invite you to contact my former and/or current coaches about me and to come out to see my skills in person this season. Thank you for your interest in me.
