Adrian Shevchuk '23 Recruiting Profile

I  have been a multi-sport athlete since I was five and picked up  volleyball when I was eight. My sister introduced me to the sport and I  never turned back. I started playing club volleyball when I was ten as  part of the inaugural boys season at East Coast Power Volleyball.  Some of my achievements include being invited to attend USAV High Performance VB camps for four (4) years, attending for three (3) of those four, and  attending USAV Boys Nationals in the open division in 2017 and 2018.  In 2018, I was team captain and  our team  finished twenty third in the nation.  For the 2020-2021  season I was the team captain for Yorktowne 18 White and attended the 2021 USAV Boys Nationals in 17 Open as part of the Yorktowne 17 Blue team.   For the 2021-2022 Season, I was the setter and team captain for the Yorktowne 18 Red  team.  For the 2022-2023 club season, I am a setter on the Yorktowne 18 Blue team.  The boys volleyball program I started last year at Kennett High  School finished is second year as a club with a winning record; in addition to being the team captain, I was named Varsity MVP.  For 2022, I made the AVCA High Risers List.  For the 2022-2023 year, boys volleyball is a PIAA varsity sport at Kennett High School and we are fielding a pre-season AAU team for which I am the coach.  In this season,  I played in High School as an Outside Hitter and I was named to the AVCA Boys High School All-America Watch list, I also received an AVCA/MaxPrep Player of the week award, and I won the AAU Mid-Atlantic Top High School Scholarship.   At the end of the 2023 High School Season, I was again the Varsity MVP for Kennett High School and I was named to the IVL All-League First Team and the PIAA District One Second Team and PVCA All State Honorable Mention for my performance as an Outside Hitter.  In my first official PIAA season as an Outside Hitter, I had 313 kills, 43 Service Aces, and 292 Digs finishing,   5th, 11th and 4th in the state respectively in each of those categories.
