I've always been the type of person that loves sports. Since little, I played every sport that there was, but there wasn't one that I really loved, until I found volleyball. I started playing volleyball when I was 10 years old, trying to find the sport that would fit me, and since then, it has been the sport that I am most passionate about. Throughout my life, my parents have been the reason why I am the person I am today. They are the ones that have dedicated their time for me and my sport, so that they could see the improvement and benefits of all their sacrifices. I started playing at the mini leagues without any experience, and it was tough for me because I was competing with kids that were already in the competitive environment, the environment that I lacked to know. I didn't make it in the team at first, and that was probably the best thing that could have happened to me. Because of that, I got motivated to better my performance and improve my skills to be able to compete in the level that I wanted.
Two years of hard training and dedication passed, and I made the San Juan Volleyball Club 13u. That same year, I made the team as a starter, and we also went to compete at the USA Junior National Volleyball Championships, winning second place. Even though we didn’t win first place, I won the satisfaction that dedication and hard work pays off. I still see the benefits of my performance throughout the years. This year, I had the opportunity to receive a 50% volleyball scholarship in Colegio Rosa-Bell. My goals for this last high school year is to graduate with honors, while still doing the sport that I love, breaking the stereotype created to athletes. After graduating, my goal is to be accepted in a good college with the benefit of a scholarship, so that I can prove my talent and demonstrate my sportsmanship, playing the sport that has brought me to where I stand today.
