Athletics has been a major factor in my life, and I would not be the same person without them. This gives me a strong passion for the game. After joining the volleyball team as a freshman, I knew I wanted to play this sport as long as a can. My sophomore year cemented my love for the game, gaining all of my athletic attention. My passion fuels me to work hard, and never give up. As a multi-sport athlete, I know what it takes to compete against others. As a sophomore, kids trying out for the team, as well as kids my age, have looked up to me inside of the gym. I do my best to teach my peers, and motivate them to work towards their maximum potential. I have great respect towards the game and everyone involved, including referees, coaches, and other athletes. Though I have respect, I am also a fiery person on the court, and hope to spread my effort and enthusiasm to others. After each practice, training session, or meeting, I like to leave with a firm handshake and a strong thank you to my coaches. This allows me to get to know my coaches on a personal level, and acknowledge what they do for the team. A good college athlete should be mature, hardworking, and self-disciplined. These qualities reflect who I am as a person, a student, and an athlete.
