Throughout high school I've been balancing athletics, academics, music.
As a cross country runner, we start our practices on the first day of July. During these humid runs I know that I won't be racing for at least two more months, but we all push ourselves even though we won't see the results immediately. I'm very in tune with my body, I know when I need to take a day easy and when and how much I actually can push my self each day., I've never had an injury during season in high school so I think that is very important. Time management is a very key skill for a student athlete, I am currently taking an AP class and other honors classes. I couldn't achieve success in school and on the track or court if I couldn't manage my time, I have learned how to make the most out of the little free time that I have and how to get my homework done well and efficiently. I am also a part of my high school's concert band and marching band, as well as Rhode Island's All State Concert Band. Any one who wants to succeed has to have a great work ethic and they need to push them selves, even if there is nobody cheering them on. I think that I would make a fantastic addition to any team because I just work hard and if I set my mind to something then I will get it done, no matter the number of setbacks.
