I am a high school Senior this year. I have been playing CHAWP Club Water Polo for 6 years and Varsity Water Polo at Santiago High School for 4 years.
Last year, I was Offensive Player of the Year, 1st Team All League, and 2nd Team All Area.
This year, I was Offensive Player of the Year, 1st Team All League, and MVP.
I plan on playing on my 18's Platinum Club Team at the Junior Olympics this year. Our team qualified for the Championship bracket.
Since Covid, I have had to get creative where I can play and practice. My high school and club programs remain closed as of Oct. 1 2020. I have been traveling to Long Beach every week to participate in clinics and No-Contact tournaments at Tony Azevedo water polo. This has been an amazing experience for me. I have had the opportunity to play in two Invite-Only College Showcases with Azevedo Water Polo. I also recently made the ODP SPA Regional Championship team.
I usually play on the 1/2 wing or as a driver. However, I am sometimes also used as a 2 meter defender and point player and can be quite effective there. I have the reputation of working hard and being very coachable with every coach I have worked with. I often coach and mentor my entire team. This past year, my coach had me coaching defense while in the water. My goal over the next 2 years is to continue to grow and develop as an athlete so that i can be an asset to a college team in the future. I am so excited to hopefully have that opportunity.
In college, I hope to study Criminology. My dream is to work for the FBI. I also would love to play Water Polo abroad.
