My ultimate objective in water polo is to continue to play at the collegiate level while obtaining the best education possible. Or maybe I should say that the other way around - get the best education possible while continuing to develop my water polo abilities (student first, athlete second). I began playing water polo my freshman year after playing mostly baseball and basketball. I had never considered water polo until a friend “recruited” me for our high school team after he saw me pitch in a baseball game - he knew that my arm strength from baseball and my experience playing basketball could translate to water polo. I moved up from JV to Var my freshman year, and by my senior year I was co-captain (with the friend who recruited me). In 2019 I led the League with 106 goals and 122 points. In addition, I had a total of 44 steals. Individually I did well, but I'm most proud to say that our team won its first ever NCS game in school history! From the first game I played I knew that water polo was the sport for me, but I four years in high school just isn't enough. Playing at the collegiate level would allow me to test myself to see if I can fulfill my potential.
