The water has always been a part of my life. I live in Half Moon Bay, California and have been involved in many of the aquatic activities the coast has to offer. (i.e Swimming, Surfing, and State Parks Junior Lifeguards.) Water polo was a very new concept for me, I had played all sorts of sports with a ball but none like water polo. There’s so much contact and a physical side of the game unlike other sports. That is what intrigues me. I like being able use teamwork and skill to get the ball where it needs to go. I’ve always wanted to play a sport at the collegiate level but never knew what I wanted to play. After my first season playing on JV, I had an idea that this is the sport I want to play after highschool. I want to play in college to play at the next level of the game. I watch so many college highlight and full game videos, I want to be in those videos and to be an inspiration to another kid also trying to go big. In college I would like to study business and see where that takes me to pursue a career after college. To the team, I bring leadership and good work ethic to the table. I love motivating my team to be the best that I know we can be, and push them to reach our full potential. Teamwork is huge for me. I am always making the second pass to the open shot and having good pool awareness to see the ball into the goal. I love volunteering in my community, and in other communities. Service trips are a huge part of who I am, because I put my hard working and teamwork skills to good use. I can’t wait to see where this sport takes me.
