Personal Statement

Water polo is not just a sport for me; it is a passion that drives me to challenge myself daily. As a junior in high school, I am honored to be a starting player on both my varsity team and for my club team, CVU. This experience has been transformative, providing me with valuable lessons in leadership, teamwork, and commitment.

As an only child, I have come to truly appreciate the importance of working closely with teammates and supporting one another to achieve a common goal. Water polo has consistently pushed me beyond my limits, teaching me how to continually grow, learn, and strive for excellence both in practice and in games.

One of my greatest strengths is my strategic awareness of the game. I take pride in studying the game, understanding the strategies involved, and applying these insights in real-time. My ability to maintain awareness of the entire game and make precise, strategic passes is one of the key elements that defines my playing style.

I am dedicated to being the hardest-working player on the team, always striving to stay one step ahead to ensure our success. This relentless drive to improve has shaped me into a leader who exemplifies commitment, perseverance, and resilience.

While I am deeply committed to my water polo journey and aspire to play at the collegiate level, I also hold academics in the highest regard. The discipline, focus, and work ethic I have developed through my water polo experiences have fueled my academic success as well.

Ultimately, my exposure to playing with diverse teams and athletes has taught me to adapt quickly, embrace new techniques, and expand my understanding of the game. I am excited about the future of my water polo journey and remain committed to doing whatever it takes to continue playing this sport at the collegiate level and beyond.

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
