Spencer Hanchett '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6 foot tall, 150lb water polo player from San Diego, CA.  I have been a starting player on El Capitan High School’s Varsity Water Polo team for 3 years, and played Junior Varsity my freshman season.  I earned 1st Team All CIF DIVIII, 1st Team All-League 2018, and was recruited to play in the 2018 San Diego County Senior All-Star game, comprised of the ‘best of the best’ in San Diego County.  I was awarded San Diego Union Tribune All-Academic Team in 2017, 2018 and currently I maintain a 3.417 Cumulative GPA.  This season I was also awarded Most Valuable Player, Best Offensive player, as well as Most Dedicated Varsity player 2018.

I am looking for a school that is in southern California, because of the proximity to my hometown of San Diego, and will consider all competitive programs as long as I can still pursue my major for business and entrepreneurship.  My ideal school will include a competitive water polo team that needs a quick, versatile player.  I believe a good fit for me is at the DII, DIII or NAIA player level.  I am successful as a driver, but I am useful as utility player in all field positions, including starting sprinter.
