Commitment, leadership, and passion are not just words to describe me, they are meaningful because these are the words that motivate me, and the words that make me a valuable member to any water polo program.
When I was younger my sports were year round Basketball and Baseball. Unfortunately, I found out that because of an extreme growth spurt, that both of my growth plates in my feet were fractured. I was told I couldn't play Basketball and Baseball until I stopped growing. I was devastated. Then someone saw me on stage and said, “with your height and wingspan you should play water polo!” I got in the water with the Trojan Water Polo Club and I have never looked back. I loved the sport from day one.
That journey of God closing a door to sports that I thought I loved and opening the door to the sport of Water Polo has been amazing. I’ve worked hard to learn the sport and realized that this is where I belong.
I am a leader on both my club and high school teams and feel that the training that I have had from the Trojan Water Polo Club and the Loyola High School program are essential for me moving to the next level – collegiate water polo. Throughout my career of water polo, I have won a silver medal from the Jr. Olympics Boys Platinum Division for 16U, a bronze medal from the Jr. Olympics Boys Platinum Division for 14U, played in CIF at Loyola and went to the semifinals both years, and was an Academic All American for USA Water Polo for my sophomore year.
My goal is to play water polo at the Collegiate level with an academic institution in California that will further my educational and personal growth. My academic pursuit is in Business, with a specialty in commercial real estate.
