New coach, new team, no set guard. I had never played the position before but Backus threw me in and gave me tips. It didn't take me long to figure out the position and stop set players from scoring. I soon became the starter set d. I have an ability to learn fast and adapt. I am very easy to coach, I understand the game, and a quick learner.
I've also experienced waterpolo in different environments. Last summers, I went back to France and played pick up games at the Cercle des Nageurs of Marseille with old pro players in the ocean. Soon after, I talked to the U19 Marseille coach and practiced with them twice a day, 6 times a week. This was an incredible experience and helped me see the game in a different way. I learned different technics and gained a lot of speed and endurance for my high school season.
Another thing about me is that I don't give up. Once I get on a team, I fully commit myself. I will always get to practice early, be respectful, and be reliable. I know that my level now isn't my limit; I still have so much space to grow and become a better player as a whole.
