Ever since I jumped into the pool my freshman year I have loved the sport of water polo and the amount of hard work and dedication needed to succeed in it. I want to play at a collegiate level because I want to prove myself and make all the hard work worth it. I started off my freshman year on our frosh soph team and played club until my sophomore year where I played on JV where I started. Halfway through the season I was brought up to varsity and went to CIF with them and competed in division 4 where we got past the first round.
I have very good leadership skills and would be considered very friendly by my teammates inside and outside of the pool. The goal of making it to a collegiate level encourages me to improve inside the pool and the classroom. I always strive to find something to work on and get better at when it comes to water polo and in the classroom I push myself to get good grades and take difficult classes. Whenever I get into something I commit to it and find myself improving very rapidly, If I find something wrong I do everything to fix it.
I want to attend a college where my athletics and my academics can work together to push my body and my mind to the limits. I always do what is best for the team and not what is best for me. I am currently competing with my club and look to improve even more this year.
