Erik Duesund '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Erik Duesund, and I have played water polo for about eight years. I currently play for Newport Harbor High School and Newport Beach Water Polo Club and wish to continue playing at the college level and represent a college. I am extremely passionate about the sport, and I look forward to a very competitive high school season this year! After my 2019 freshman year season, I was brought up to compete and practice with the varsity squad. This led me to experience one of the highest levels of high school water polo across the nation at a younger age. This has helped me to become a smarter, stronger, more coachable, and successful player. Additionally, it has also taught me how to balance athletics with academics, as well as personal life altogether, which has transformed me into having a strong work ethic and being mentally tough. My collegiate goals and aspirations include pursuing a major in business, as well as continuing competing in water polo. I am excited and look forward to more competitive opportunities in the future!
