Spring 2021 Recru...Personal Statement
My name is Augustine Breeze. I am in the class of 2022 at Torrey Pines HS in San Diego, California. I'm a student of the game: I take the technical skills we work on in training to the pool every time. On offense, I look for triangles and the most efficient opportunities to attack the crease and cage. On defense, I try to use my presence and awareness to attack the mind and steal my opponents' time. I've played competitive water polo since 2013, and was originally hooked owing to our sport's combination of camaraderie, commitment, teamwork, and toughness. I'm currently playing with La Jolla United's 18A team, and have also competed with Del Mar and San Diego Shores.
I look forward to continuing to play at the next level where I can contribute my work ethic and drive to help my school and team succeed. I am confident that my combination of academics and athleticism will be a strong addition to my next team. Academically, I aim to pursue higher math, finance and technology.
