Hi, My name is Lachlan, and my love for the sport of water polo started when I was around 12 years old. When I was younger, I swam at various clubs. After switching to water polo as my main sport I have had the pleasure of playing with many different players and coaches. I enjoyed water polo much more than swimming immediatly because of the teamwork, and companionship that a team sport has.
Because of my swimming background, I was able to learn many fundamentals easily. As I was one of the biggest players on my team, I started playing set for my team. Getting one on one set training experience helped me develop into dominant set player for my team. I enjoy watching my own games to improve on my mistakes. I also like to watch film of my games with teamates to explain to them what I was thinking at a certain moment of the game and building chemestry for future games. I pride myself as being a team player, one that prioritizes the outcome of the game, rather than individual acomplishments.
