Academically, math comes to me best and I enjoy the challenge it provides. While I am undecided at this time, my major will most likely be engineering or computer science. I am also interested in business, the financial aspect. I'd like grow my academic knowledge in order to be successful in the future. My parents are great examples of going to college and being successful in their work-life.
Water polo is my passion. I am a team player who is dedicated and works hard to be the best player and teammate that I can be. I have been playing polo since the age of nine and have continued to improve my skills, year after year. I have been lucky to play with a solid club (Channel Islands United) that allows me to play at the highest levels of water polo. As I finish my Junior year and my 9th season with club, I've stepped up to take a larger role on the team. Besides the physical abilities you must have to be an elite water polo player, you must be smart. I am smart and know how to play the game and deal with the mental challenges it takes to be competitive and win. Finally, I truly enjoy being part of a team; being a teammate. Water polo and my teammates have been both a crutch and an outlet for me; a sport and environment when I need help and where I can provide support for my teammates, both in and, especially, out of the pool.
I'm in search of a collegiate arena where I can prosper academically and in the sport of water polo, all while growing and contributing to something bigger than me.
