I started my athletic career swimming competitively at the age of 5. From there, I qualified for many elite swim meets such as the Southern California June Age Group Swim Championships, Winter Age Group Championships, along with Junior Olympics and Regional Super Junior Olympics until I was 13 years old.
At age 13, I was introduced to Waterpolo, and since then I have never looked back. Starting highschool at Oaks Christian School, I played Varsity my Sophomore year, Junior year, and now going into my Senior year. This past high school season, we had a great run in the D1 CIF playoffs. Despite not being the top ranked team, we believed in our team’s ability by beating the top ranked teams in the division, but falling short in the final. After the loss, as a team we regrouped and won the Regional Final to end the season. My strength in the water, is my fast paced play style, combined with great mobility and speed in the water, which provides me with the ability to convert good defense plays into good offensive opportunities. I am a fast-twitch player and very explosive. I play great defense, and pride myself on my drive defense. In addition to scoring I enjoy being a play maker on both sides of the pool.
At Oaks Christian, I have found that my favorite subjects are the sciences, like Anatomy and Physiology which I took this past school year. Next year I am taking AP Psychology because the human mind fascinates me. I have struggled this year with Math and English, after recently being diagnosed with Dyslexia. To correct this learning disability we have put strategies and tools in place. Since then my grades have been improving and I am retaking Math and English which will improve my GPA .
