I was awarded the only Grade 8 Water Polo scholarship at Hilton College, South Africa in 2016. This is my 6th year of water polo and I have excelled at school level, captaining the age-specific A teams for two years running and getting Provincial colours (2 different States, Gauteng & KZN) 5 years in row. In addition, I made the Hilton College 1st team water polo side towards the end of my Grade 9 year. In 2018 I was selected to attend the South African Boys U16 waterpolo camp. In 2019, I was awarded my half colours for waterpolo and elected as Swimming team Captain at Hilton College. In addition, I was selected as a reserve for the KZN Boys U19 A waterpolo team.
There is more to me than water polo. Two of the strongest influences in my life are my family and my Christian faith. I am also driven by observing great sportsman and the hard work they have put in to achieve their goals. I am generally self-confident, have a keen sense of humour and am very enthusiastic. In the pool, I find a balance between my serious and fun sides. I lead in a non-aggressive and encouraging way. I am keen to follow a career in marketing / advertising or investigative journalism. In addition to water polo, I am a keen rugby player and enjoy athletics and soccer where I was most recently the goal-keeper for the U16A side.
