I started competitive swimming when I was 7 and began playing water polo for a local club team when I was 12. I am a team player with an unselfish playing style and provide an aggressive defense. I love the camaraderie that I have with my teammates! I am drawn to the strategy and physicality that the game of water polo requires. Through the sport, I have developed character and confidence that positively impacts everything I do in and out of the water. I enjoy the sense of community that the sport provides and I would love the opportunity to carry this forward through to my college experience.
I still swim competitively for both a club team and my high school team, where I received a varsity letter freshman, sophomore, and junior year and have been recognized as an academic scholar.
I am dedicated to my academics, and am currently taking honors level and AP courses. My academic strengths are in science and math and I plan to study biochemistry/chemistry/pharmaceutical sciences/drug development in the future.
