Personal Statement

My name is Marcus Berehulak, I am an 18-year-old Australian water polo player who is determined to study and play at a US college. I am a hard-working student who is persistent in achieving the best I can in my academics and sporting life. My academics are the most important aspect of college, I finished year 12 with a GPA of 2.8 and I am Currently studying Psychological Sciences at Australian Catholic University. On my graduation certificate my teachers commented on me saying I am a hardworking, respectful and reliable individual. 

I am in 3 Australian water polo teams (U20,U19,U18) and have played 17 games for Australia. I was also offered a contract by a Hungarian club earlier this year however I declined as I want to pursue the college avenue. 

My aspirations while at college are to graduate with a bachelor’s in psychology as well as help my water polo team achieve greatness and win.
