2022 Youth Worlds...Personal Statement
My Water polo journey began at the age of 9 when I was put into the sport by my father. I am currently 17 turning 18 in February of this year and have been training consistently and competitively through that time period. I grew up and trained with the same teammates at Shadow Water Polo throughout the majority of those years, and, as time went on, I got better and better and I eventually became captain for my age groups (U14, U16). The more I played, the more I started appreciating the sport and I was eventually invited into the Ontario Regional Development programme (RDC) for further training and development, eventually landing me a spot in the 2020 Ontario Provincial water polo team. That was right before the initial stages of the pandemic. Recently, I made the selection for the Canadian U18 Junior National Team for the Pan American Games which were going to be held in Brazil but got pushed back as a result of COVID-19. Water polo has been a huge part of my life and taking it to the next level all whilst getting a great education.

- Part of the province of Ontario's provincial team for an international tournament held in Florida throughout February. Trained with most of the team throughout the year in order to play with them.

- I've been playing waterpolo with the Shadow Waterpolo club for approximately 7 years so far. I've trained and competed with them ever since the age of 10 years old and am currently on my 8th year with the club.
- Ontrario Regional Developpement Center
- 4 years
- The Ontario Regional development Center is a weekly training camp hosted by the Ontario provincial team for select athletes leading to pathways to the Canadian national team. I've been at the RDC weekly session since freshman year(Grade 9) and have built great connections across Waterpolo in Canada and was also selected for the provincial team thanks to this program.
