Personal Statement
I started Water Polo when I was 11 years old. I originally started in the 11U B team, but that year I progressed to play for the 13U A side as an eleven year old. This first success in water polo led me to chase another and I then went on to play in the 13U state team when I was 12. From then on, I have represented my state team every year including my 19U A side at 17 years old. I have also represented my school 19U A side from 15 years old, as well as various national teams, with great love and passion for the badge and the sport. What makes me different from other recruits in terms of my character is my loyalty and discipline. Once I commit to a badge then I will stay loyal to that team for as long as possible. Additionally, I remain focused on my goals, whether I have missed a penalty, or a 1v1 against a keeper in a close game, I do not get flustered, I remain focused on the game, and the goals of the team. Furthermore, I am looking to pursue a career in business, where I can hone my leadership and cooperative skills into a company and into society. Water polo is not just a sport, for me it is a lifestyle that has opened doors for my future, and I am willing to contribute everything possible to a team and a badge that can give me the next step.
