Personal Statement
As a Spanish citizen, coming to the USA was not an easy step, but playing the sport I like the most and that I’ve been playing for 8 years really helped me with the transition from one country to another. The best part about all this is that I get to compare the different play styles each country has, and this experience has also helped me and has taught me to adjust more easily to whatever the coach‘s preference is.
Playing in High School has also taught me a lot of valuable things, given that it’s completely different to club waterpolo. Playing with a varsity team of only 9-10 players and where, for a lot players it’s their first year playing, has really made me develop some other skills that I wouldn‘t have had elsewhere such as leadership and resilience.
Overall, I’m grateful of being able to have this amazing opportunity and learning so much from many different places.
