Hello, my name is Daniel Albers(Newjack is my water polo nickname. I know its random). I'm a goalie that plays for the THILLS club team. I am 6ft 2inches and 180 pounds. have been playing water polo since my freshman year and have been year round ever since. I am an extremely hard worker both inside and out of the pool. In my club team I personally create my own goalie work outs and push my limits at every practice. This year, my team won the gold metal for the Junior Olympic Qualifier and also won a silver metal in State Games. I am an extremely competitive person and like team sports because I have to work together with others to ultimately win. Winning as a team is the most rewarding feeling in my opinion. I enjoy challenges physically and academically. By the end of my senior year I will have been in 12 Advanced Placement classes(A.P.) I don't like following the easy route I prefer to work to get what I desire. This is why water polo is such an important part of my life and why I want to continue playing in college. I'm personally interested in colleges with both outstanding water polo and strong academics. Psychology is my planned major. I enjoy helping people with their problems which is why psychology would be an extremely good career match for me. I will acquire no financial aid from outside resources other than my own money and scholarships. In a water polo setting, I'm very motivating and supportive. I'm a vital leader for both my high school team and my club team. I"m a likeable guy because I'm very sincere and funny. I personally try to make other people retain my work ethic. For example, at my club team no goalie coaches are available. I personally train other goalies and create specific work outs for myself and them with out any help from my coaches. I lead others in a positive manner and give positive reinforcement. For my college water polo experience, I want to have teammates that I bond with and work extremely hard with together. I want to compete to the highest of my ability and overall, help my team.
