Thomas Gooding '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing water polo since I was in the fifth grade. I was previously a swimmer, but I switched to water polo. I loved being in the pool, but I wanted to be a part of a sport that required collaborative effort and teamwork.  From the first time I played, I was hooked. I started my competitive career a year later when I joined Tualatin Hills Water Polo Club (Thills). I have continued to play year round since then. I have not always been the biggest or strongest on the team, but what I think has made me an important part of the team is my awareness in the pool, overall water polo IQ, and work ethic.  I believe that I can contribute to any team whether it is as a freshman starter or a walk-on as I bring my all in every single practice and push myself and my teammates. I'm looking for a college with a strong academic and athletic experience.
