Hello! I am a 9th grader at Springfield Township HS in Montgomery County, PA. I started diving officially two summers ago through my pool´s summer league, but I have always enjoyed recreational diving. I love the challenge of landing a new dive, and pushing myself to the limit on the board. After receiving encouragement from our new summer diving coach, I decided to join the dive team in addition to the swim team I had always been on. I was surprised by how much I loved it, and I took advantage of all the extra practices and clinics that were offered. You could often find me practicing for fun during my time off. Recently, I have been doing yoga along with my HS swim and dive team to increase my flexibility. I am also focusing on twists and back dives. When I get feedback from my coaches it motivates me to get better. I consider myself the unofficial recruiter for both our summer and high school league because I love being part of the team and know anyone else who joins will get the same joy out of the sport. I would characterize myself as highly motivated, and I think as a newer diver, I handle challenges well. I love the camaraderie of the team. I have been going on college visits my my older sister, and that has made me realize I would like diving to be part of my college experience.
