My collegiate career began at Sacramento City College. In my Sophomore season we garnered the State Championship and boasted a 59-4 season record. I earned All State and 1st team All American honors, while also being named MVP of the State of California as a Pitcher/3rd baseman. I then went on the play at Cal State University of Northridge where we remained in the top 25 in the NFCA polls while making two post season regional appearances, ultimately falling short of the WCWS. I was awarded 1st team All-Conference team both years as well as being named Big West player of the week on three occasions.
Following my college career, I was the drafted as the 7th overall pick in the Women’s Professional Softball league (WPSL). I played 5 years in total for the Georgia Pride, Virginia Roadsters and the Ohio Pride. I had the privilege of making the All-Star team twice!
My first coaching position was 1st Assistant at the University of Texas San Antonio, a Division I school in the Southland Conference. I worked with the pitching staff, infield, and offensive production. After making a regional appearance in my and final season, I was offered a position in the Big XII at Texas Tech University. I again worked with the pitching staff, infield and hitters. The Red Raiders made two regional appearances in my 3 years spent with them.
All very exciting times, but a call to home and wanting to be near family brought me back to my roots. I now reside in the Sacramento valley in beautiful Northern California.
